The "Rural development in Hirbovat, Moldova" project was implemented by a local non-governmental organization "Pro Dezvoltare Hirbovat" (PDH) and supported by IM/SOIR (Individuell Manniskohjalp – the Swedish Organization for Individual Relief) during the period of 2006 – 2009.
The main goal of the project was to develop the village and the potential for the inhabitants to have a decent life and meaningful future in the village by improving environment, health status of the population, quality of education, leisure time for children and adolescents, access to information and increasing the number of job opportunities.
The evaluation was conducted in July-October 2009. The evaluation research was based on qualitative methods. Evaluation target groups included all project stakeholders.
